Santo Domingo, DR. – The Attorney General’s Office confirmed that he will be extradited Monday, from Spain, Ambiorix Nepomuceno Rodríguez, accused of killing the young lawyer Paola Languasco, in 2015.
The Attorney General’s report was sent after Languasco’s father talked with Listín Diario and informed him that his daughter’s executioner will be brought to the country to face Dominican justice.
Leopoldo Languasco said the authorities informed them that today would be the day that Ambiorix Nepomuceno Rodríguez would be transferred from Spain to a Dominican air terminal.
The last time her relatives had contact with the girl was April 6, 2015, the day she left her home in Puerto Plata to Santiago to meet a man she had met on the social network Facebook.
The victim’s body was found on April 24, 2015, 19 days after being reported missing, inside a sewer in the Jardines del Norte urbanization, in the Santiago province.
Nepomuceno Rodríguez would have fled to Spain, where he was arrested and where he subsequently escaped from a prison in July 2016, while waiting to be extradited to the Dominican Republic.
It was not until April 2017 when Nepomuceno was captured in Hamburg, Germany, from where he was extradited to Spain.
The defendant of the feminicide of the lawyer from Puerto Plata had been arrested in 2009 by the Spanish authorities for links with gangs engaged in narcotics trafficking. However, since serving his sentence, he returned to the Dominican Republic.
According to the Europol profile where it was searched in 2016, Ambiorix Nepomuceno Rodríguez was born on January 3, 1979, had marks on his face and his height is 180 centimeters.
