Banreservas as Best Bank of Dominican Republic 2019

Global Finance rewards Banreservas for the second year as “Best Bank of RD 2019”

The international magazine Global Finance selected Banco de Reservas for the second consecutive year as “Best Bank of the Dominican Republic 2019”, when evaluating its results of growth in assets, profitability, development of new business and innovation in products for its clients.

The New York-based publication also took into account other Banreservas results, such as its strategic relationships and geographical reach throughout the territory.

In expressing satisfaction with the award, the general manager, Simón Lizardo Mézquita, said that this recognition is the result of the support that Banreservas offers its clients and the productive sectors of the country, in order to optimally meet their particular needs.

He thanked the strong support of the Board of Directors and the constant dedication of executives and business and administrative staff to launch business management and technological innovations, aimed at satisfying the demand of the various segments of the population.

Award vision

Joseph D. Giarraputo, editor and editorial director of Global Finance, explained that “the Global Finance Best Bank Awards, now in its twenty-sixth year, provide a continuous vision of which financial institutions are innovating and adapting to changing conditions.”

He specified that the requirements to be ranked among the best banks in the world are increasingly difficult to meet. “The expectations of customers of financial service providers have never been so high: the products are delivered in real time with total security,” he said.

Details in May issue

The details of the award to the Best Banks of the World corresponding to some 150 countries in Latin America, Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and the United States will be announced in the May edition of the renowned American magazine.

While the delivery will be made at an Awards Ceremony during the Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank, to be held in Washington on October 19.

Last year, Global Finance also awarded Banreservas the “Best Bank of the Dominican Republic”. Every year the publication selects the best financial institutions from around the world, based on a qualitative analysis of experts and the measurement of parameters such as the market share, number and volume of innovation operations of participating banks.

The publication is distributed in 188 countries and its awards have become a recognized standard of excellence in the global financial community.
