DNCD stop airplane that would go to Venezuela with more than one million dollars

La Romana, Dominican Republic – The spokesman of the National Directorate of Drug Control (DNCD), Carlos Devers, reported that agents of said institution arrested on Wednesday morning a small plane that would leave the country illegally with more than one million dollars.

According to the preliminary report, the plane intended to take the money to Venezuela.

The aircraft with Venezuelan registration was retained in the airport of La Romana. There are three people arrested for the case and being interrogated to identify possible collaborators.

The detainees are two Venezuelans and a woman with Dominican and Venezuelan nationality, will be presented at the Prosecutor’s Office of La Romana at 10 o’clock in the morning where it is expected that more details of what happened will be offered.
