Dominican tried to kill his children and then try to suicide after his wife broke the relationship

NUEVA YORK. Police in the Bronx arrested Carlos Camilo, accusing him of trying to kill his two sons, the 18-year-old female and the office of 12, after her partner. We always return to the apartment they shared.

The fact occurred on Tuesday after 11:00 at night, when Camilo, took his children to the bathroom of the apartment, where he stabbed them and tried to cut their throats.

The woman, not identified by the investigators, managed to stifle the first attempt by snatching the teenager, but Camilo, insisted and took the man who also stabbed trying to cut his throat.

The police did not report injuries to the mother.

Camilo, whose acquaintances of the family said that he and his wife are natives of San Francisco de Macorís and lived in the widening Sisters Mirabal, attacked the daughter and the son in the house located in a building on Kingsbridge Avenue in the Bronx .

“He went crazy and went to his son’s room and cut his throat,” a source in the investigation told local media.

“He entered the bathroom, cut his throat and stabbed her,” researchers said.

The mother managed to run out, stopped a passing driver and called 911.

Camilo, barricaded himself in the apartment and when the police arrived at the house, he threatened to commit suicide.

The police arrested Camilo and accused him of attempted murder, two counts of assault, endangering the welfare of a child, threats, resistance to arrest and criminal possession of a weapon.

The children were taken to the Presbyterian Hospital of Columbia University, in Upper Manhattan, where until last night, they remained stable, police said.

Camilo was admitted to the Saint Barnabas hospital for an evaluation.
