SANTIAGO. Las Aguilas Cibaeñas Eagles acquired former Major League pitcher José Domínguez, in a trade with the Tigres del Licey who received reliever Ulises Joaquín.
The announcement was made by Ángel Ovalles, General Manager of the aguiluchos, who praised the change as the acquisition of an arm with greater league experience in the bullpen of the yellows.
The exchange was approved by the president of the Dominican Professional Baseball League (LIDOM), Vitelio Mejía, reported Ovalles.
The General Manager, Aguilucho, welcomed Dominguez, thanking Joaquín for the yellow cause and wishing him luck.
Dominguez is a right-handed relief pitcher, he is 6-0 tall, weighing 200 pounds. He is a native of San Pedro de Macorís and is 28 years old. Since 2012-13 he has participated in four seasons with the Blues, being absent in the 2014-15 and 2016-17 championships.
Joaquin, 26, has participated in the last four seasons and the Tigers will be his second shirt in LIDOM.
