Marlin Martínez seeks his freedom this Monday

SANTO DOMINGO. – Marlin Martínez, convicted of abduction and concealment of the body of Emely Peguero, appears this Monday in a virtual audience to request her release with a habeas corpus petition.

The appeal was filed by her lawyers Ingrid Hidalgo and Manuel García and will be heard in court today at 10:00 in the morning.

According to her defense, Martínez

, who is serving her five-year sentence at Rafey Mujeres, qualifies to be released because she has health problems and to be released because she served the sentence that was imposed on her for the fact that after the five-year sentence at a review hearing was reduced to 24 months.
