New 5.9 earthquake shakes Puerto Rico this Saturday

An earthquake of 5.9 degrees of magnitude on the Richter scale, shook Puerto Rico on Saturday, with an epicenter located about 3 miles on the southwest of the island.

The movement was recorded specifically 15 km from Guanica, at 8:54 in the morning.

The seismic authorities have not issued a tsunami warning or warning for Puerto Rico or the Virgin Islands so far.

It is recalled that for several days, Puerto Rico

has been affected by several telluric movements, including one of 6.6 degrees, which temporarily left most of the island without power.

Affected structures, still remain are blocks at risk of finishing falling, so the new tremor, so it is recommended to move away from concrete blocks and constructions affected by previous movements.
