Santo Domingo, DR. – President Luis Abinader dissolved this Thursday through decree 368-20, the Office of the First Lady, as his wife Raquel Arbaje had said.
The provision also transfers the Comprehensive Attention Center for Disability (CAID) to the Ministry of Public Health, leaving its functions, powers and direction in charge of a council made up of representatives of the government and civil society, appointed by the President of the Republic and those who will exercise their function in an honorary manner.
Likewise, it creates the Evaluation Commission of the different programs of the Office of the First Lady, which will be appointed by the Ministry of the Presidency, who coordinates it, and whose function will be the evaluation and reassignment of all programs and services administered by said office. to institutions related to its objectives.
In accordance with current regulations, in relation to the budget, income and public spending, the evaluation commission will determine the redistribution of the amounts that result from the elimination, substitution and reallocation of the programs and services offered by said entity, which will be allocated to the public health system and nongovernmental organizations dedicated to objectives related to these programs and services.
In addition, the provision of the Executive Power repeals Decree 741-00, dated September 10, 2000, and the regulations that develop and complement it.
