Ramfis Domínguez Trujillo believes sovereignty is fragile

Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. – The presidential candidate, Ramfis Domínguez Trujillo, to commemorate the 207th anniversary of the birth of Juan Pablo Duarte, exhausted an intense agenda of activities, beginning with a talk at the Duartiano Institute in New York, where he highlighted the importance of the thought of the hero of the country in the fight for National Independence.

In this regard, he said: “Juan Pablo Duarte is the example of patriot and nationalist to follow. He will always live in the memory of the people, his thoughts, his legacy. ”

“Today it is unfortunate to see that, after that great struggle of men like Juan Pablo Duarte, Sánchez and Mella, we are faced with the urgent need to recover our sovereignty,” he said.
Later, he returned to Santo Domingo, where he attended the mass organized by the Duartian Institute, officiated by Monsignor Francisco Ozoria.

“We must remember Duarte’s thought when he said: living without a country is the same as living without honor. And, today, we have to find a way to eliminate all those dark powers that want to subject us to the indignation of living without a country, ”he said.

In another order, when asked about the statements of Monsignor Ozoria, that the country is divided by political interests; Ramfis expressed his support, saying: “It is true, we have a disintegrated and fully polarized political field.”
