Many Dominican figures have flirted with internationalizing their careers through the platform provided by major foreign television networks.
Everything seems to indicate that humorist Raymond Pozo could become part of Telemundo.
The actor said there is nothing concrete yet, but the fact is that during a participation in the “Un Nuevo Día” space on Telemundo where they dedicated the programming to another anniversary of the Indepedencia of the Dominican Republic, it left the audience fascinated producers of the renowned morning program.
During his appearance on “A New Day” Raymond acted alongside Puerto Rican singer Adamaris López where he played a “Dominican guachimán”.
In addition, he was part of the cooking segment with chef James Tahhan, who prepared some typical dishes of Quisqueya on the occasion of the commemoration of the patriotic deed.
Pozo has been characterized by having an ascendant career within the artistic world. He has experienced different facets that have consolidated him as the outstanding personality he is today. Raymond began to make humor in the 1990s in a “sketch” program called Caribe Show with a group of comedians, where he met his eventual inseparable companion Miguel Céspedes.
He has been part of several television programs such as: The show of the Arabs, Caribbean show, The option of 12, Stay there, Trapped and Titirimundati.
Raymond became known with the character of “El Hermano Tazo”, which was identified by making tongue twisters, in addition to his presentations where he made a series of parodies and phonomics recorded by the music producer Henry Rafael Acevedo.
Coming from Jamey, a humble little village in San Cristobal, Dominican Republic, where he made his living cleaning shoes, selling bread, peanuts, onions, as a tailor, driving a tricycle and a wheelbarrow. Raymond is the son of Cristina Pozo and Pedro Figueroa, a master builder, and also has nine brothers. Of the filmographies in which he has developed his acting career stand out, Perico ripiao, The Curse of Father Cardona, Camino malo, At the end and cape, Christian of the secret, Lotoman, Lotoman 003, Tuber president, Gourmet Tuber, Colao, Brothers and What a Lion. Raymond Pozo has won several Casandra and Soberano awards along with his partner Miguel Céspedes.
