The Political Committee will concentrate this Monday on the Law of Parties and Electoral Regime

The meeting of the Political Committee of the Partido de la Liberación Dominicana (PLD) scheduled for this Monday will focus on the recommendations of adequacy of the statutes that will present a commission on the Law of Parties, Groups and Political Movements (No. 33-18) ; as well as the Electoral Regime Law (No. 15-19).

“Due to the different communication channels used by the support team of the General Secretariat, the members of this organization have already been summoned,” Reinaldo Pared Pérez explained in a press release.

With the convocation, the internal resolution of holding a monthly meeting of that executive body of the Central Committee on the first Monday of each month is met. The newly held meeting was held on March 4.

“Everything related to the electoral aspect will be discussed,” the note said, citing recent statements by the secretary general.

In that meeting, a commission was formed to prepare and present a schedule of activities to adapt the statutes to the Law on Political Parties and the Electoral Regime, it was reported.

The Political Committee of the PLD is composed of the President of the LDP, Leonel Fernandez and the Secretary General, who is Wall Perez and 32 other members including the President of the Republic, Danilo Medina, the Vice President of the Republic, Margarita Cedeño and the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Radhames Camacho.

The meeting will be in the Hall Professor Juan Bosch of the Presidential Office of the party.
