Santo Domingo RD.- The Attorney General’s Office (PGR) reported Tuesday the arrest of Mrs. Marisol Mercedes Franco, wife of drug trafficker Cesar Emilio Peralta, also known as “Cesar El Abusador“, during a raid in the apartment where resided, in the Blue Tower building, of the Naco widening.
The institution explained through a press release that this is the second search carried out at the residence of the fugitive “César El Abusador” in search of more evidence that will allow irrefutable confirmation of the facts attributed to them, related to activities of the organized crime.
He informed that at the time of the search, Mrs. Franco was with four minor children, so to safeguard their integrity and protect their rights, they will be handed over to a relative.
The PGR informed that Marisol Mercedes Franco is being investigated and will be interrogated regarding her connection with the illicit activities by which her partner is persecuted, at the time of indicating that if she found enough evidence to link her to those actions, she would proceed to request coercive measures as well as the others involved in this case.
During this momentous process of combating organized crime, more than 50 searches have been carried out in search of the leaders and their accomplices and evidence to dismantle the criminal network, with more than 20 properties and 10 vehicles seized at the time, with 4 of the main leaders under arrest and another 12 people arrested in the process of knowing coercive measures.
The institution called on citizens to observe the process and denounce in the nearest prosecutors any event related to this investigation while again urging the accused “César El Abusador” to surrender to the authorities respecting his fundamental rights.
